September 22’nd was the 2013 Emmys where stars gathered to celebrate the talents of actors, actresses, and the creativity of writers for our favorite television shows. Fashion gets played out in full force on the red carpet at these events, and if you are the kind of person who enjoys just reading and seeing the photos after the event as much, if not more, than the event itself this article is for you—we’re going to look at the jewelry trends that were most prevalent of the best dressed ladies on the red carpet.
Cinya Burton on E! gave a great synopsis and let us know one of the biggest gems to grace the walk to the awards show was the beautiful emerald. Sofia Vergara (from ABC’s Modern Family); the curvaceously, glamorous Christina Hendricks (of AMC’s Mad Men fame); and Sarah Hyland (also from Modern Family), demonstrated how green gems paired with drop earrings can look awesome.
With Van Scoy you can find some affordable equivalents to these glamorous looks- just by substituting citrine and peridot for emeralds and you will have some great fashionista styles.
This example shows off these 14k yellow gold, genuine citrine, peridot and diamond daisy earrings which are dainty and classy at the same time.
If you want more of the chandelier drop earring look Van Scoy carries these 14K yellow gold, citrine and peridot earrings and matching pendant (sold separately).
Van Scoy also has a selection of great, chunky, fashion jewelry with sterling silver and yellow-gold in our Metal Marketplace by Greg Anthony. For Example, this gorgeous ring with green amethyst and matching bracelet would really bring some pizzazz to any wardrobe.
If you also take the time to peruse through the photos from the Emmys you may also see a wide selection of bracelets- stacked bangles or layered tennis bracelets and art-deco cuffs hung on the wrists of some of the most beautiful women of Hollywood.
As with the great, green amethyst and sterling-silver rope bracelet with toggle clasp shown above, Van Scoy has a great selection of bracelets to choose from.
Here is a 12-strand, yellow gold, fashion bracelet paired with a yellow gold, contemporary designed, hinged bracelet that could be worn together with the contrasting geometric angles or separately.
Another beautiful example of vibrant color, as seen with Sofia Vergara’s earring selection at the Emmys, is this sterling silver and multi-colored gemstone duo (sold separately) from Van Scoy.
Again, these can be worn together for the stacked and eclectic look or individually for something simplistic and elegant. The trend of jewelry as shown on the red carpet is definitely tracking towards layering bracelets, but if you are in a working environment where too much on your wrists would be difficult to manage you will still look fabulous with just one these bracelets from Van Scoy.
As shown vibrant colors are the rage, just because the Northern hemisphere is moving through fall into winter doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to reflect the chill-gray of the outdoors. Liven your look with any of these great selections and you’ll be receiving compliments from now until next summer.
